And I think it is always a good idea to have more than only one source where you get your money from. Now I home I will find some time again to get on with my work here…..

So let´s say you are a computer specialist you can sell some of your time for chat or phone consulting. But this is just an example.

Other possible consultancy areas may include broad areas like: Education, Training, Internet Technologies, Marketing, Recruitment, Career and Web Design. Or, they may be more specific or specialised such as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Google AdSense. I’m sure there are many other possibilities.

I know some people making money by teaching foreign languages over skype. You can also offer translations.

And what is your business?

There is one easy and fast way to get many links to your site. You can buy some link by placing paid links in so called link farms. But some says that Google does not like that and your PR would not be so high and I say why pay for it if there are possibilities to build some up without to pay for it?!?
1) Use social bookmarking to get attention for your content. When your items are on a site like Digg or StumbleUpon, you can count on getting more views than if you didn’t. These extra views can lead to extra bookmarking. This often leads to the content being linked to by site owners who saw it on the social media site.

2)Post a link to your site on a forum. Most forums allow links to be posted somewhere on the site, usually at the bottom of your own posts. Some forums don’t have indexed pages, but the ones that do will increase the number of SEO links your site has when the pages with links are crawled.But do not spam around!

3)Keep a blog. With your own blog, you can link to your site anywhere you like. If you have a Blogger blog, your permanent links will show up along with every post you make.

4)Get links through article directories. If you can write a few articles that are accepted by article directories, each of those articles will contain a source box with your link. These articles are free for anyone who wants to reprint them, as long as they keep the box. Every time someone reprints it, you get that link as well.

Simply, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But it is not only about a simple link or vote. Google also analyzes the page where the link comes from. That means what is the PR and the content from the source page. So high-quality websites receive a higher PageRank, which is remembered by Google each time you conduct a search. And how does a higher PR take effect on your blog? Every business, organisation or blogger running a website wants to be number one in any search query, right?

You type into Google the keyword “make money”. Immediately, there will be millions of web pages found. Now, out of the millions of pages, lets just say 500 of them will have good content and be equally well-designed. How will the search engine rank them then? They turn to link popularity, which has a direct influence on PageRank. The more incoming links from related sites that you have, the higher your PageRank which in turn increases your ranking on the search engine. However, you have to remember that your website must have good content and be well-optimized in order to receive this privilege. So lets work on that!

You have to know, that there are 2 most important indicators which are responsible how much money you can make with your blog.

1. Google PR  (PageRank)

2. Alexa Rank

Ok, that really not all but the two most important.

So what is Google PR? Wikipedia say “PageRank is a link analysis algorithm used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references.”

And what to say about Alexa?

Alexa achieves its ranking system by counting how many pages were visited by people who have downloaded their toolbar. And that group of people is anything but random: they tend to be webmasters, Internet marketers, and other market-minded people.

If you want to improve your Alexa Rank I can only recommend you to install the Alexa-Plugin at your blog so every visitor will be counted! You can download it from Alexa.

So the next steps we have to do is to improve your Google PR and Alexa Rang.

One way to monetize your blog is to join Affiliate programs. That means you get a code which show and Advert or a link on your site. But you will not be paid by click, like the Ad Sense from Google, but only if the user subscribe their deal or buy a product.

So you will not get money for a click on the Ad but on the other site you will get much more than only for a click if the visitor buy the product. That is also a reason why to have a blog with content so you can better choose affiliate products and earn more money.

And trust me it does not make sense to join affiliate for computers if you write about garden and flowers!

The last 30 day I wrote some post and start to make a structure in my blog. Also I installed some Wordpress plugins like the Tag Cloud you can see on the right side. So the blog is now ready for visitors but there is still a lot of work to do.

And the next important thing I did was to bring traffic to the blog. So what was possible to reach within 30 days? My Alexa rank is about 310.000 and I think that is really good! You have to know that the rank is a average over 3 Month bud the blog is online only 30 days! Here you can see the results from Alexa - 3 Month average and 1 week average and also the yesterday rank (but that is not always correct).

You can also visit Alexa and check up your or other site. So I will report that again after the next 60 days. Now is the question how I did it and how much does it cost?!?  OK - to get the traffic on my blog I did not spend $1. Read here how to generate traffic for free.

Right, now it is time to start posting. So write your post about that you want to tell your readers depending on your Blog-topic. Yes you can of course also insert some other interesting things or a picture why not but in principle you should stay with your blog-topic and a continuing content. And that is very very very important. Continuing content, that should be the reason why other will visit your blog and search engines like yahoo or google will show your blog as a possible solution after a request of a key word that match to your blog-topic, categories or tag of your post. Feel free about the amount of post you will write. There is no golden rule about that. But you can be sure if your blog will run well you also will be motivated to write at least on post per day but that is the future……. now there are a lot of other things to do.

My advice here is, take something you know and something you like to blog about. Why? You will be much more motivated to write a good content and to continue posting as often you can. It does not make sense to try to write about something you think it will bring money to you. That is hard, very hard an you will lose your motivation to write post about that topic and you will fail. And if you look at some successful blogs you will see that you can blog about everything and you can also make money with every of your blog so do not think about what will bring money but what kind of topic you like, where is your passion.

After you know what your blog will be about you will need a Domain Name. This starts the creative part. Try to pick a name that is concise, not too long, fits your topic.

Than you have to choose a home for your blog and Domain Name. You can find several free blog services but my advice is it to choose a paid one with a good service and with your own Domain Name, that is very important if you want to gain a good blog.

Last but not least – making your own blog you should have your own style! Yes visit other blog and you will find some great ideas for your blog but do not copy everything. So please be YOU on your blog with your own style.

A small tip at the end: Also do not fill up your blog with too much Ads. That does not looks good and that is not that what will bring the money to you.
